New Orleans, United States - November 8, 2026 / Sweeney Build /
NEW ORLEANS, LA - October 23, 2026 - Sweeney Restoration has officially rebranded as Sweeney Build, marking a formal shift in the company's identity to reflect the full range of construction and remodeling services it now provides across Greater New Orleans and the surrounding Louisiana region. The updated name aligns the company's public presence with a service portfolio that has expanded well beyond the restoration work that defined its early years following Hurricane Katrina.
From Post-Katrina Roots to Full-Service Construction
The company was founded in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, a period that fundamentally reshaped the built environment of New Orleans and generated sustained demand for skilled residential and commercial contractors. Work that began as restoration-focused evolved over time into a broader construction practice. Sweeney Build now operates across residential and commercial segments, offering custom home builds, home additions, kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, and commercial construction projects throughout the Greater New Orleans metro area.
The transition from Sweeney Restoration to Sweeney Build reflects that progression. Rather than carrying a name tied exclusively to repair and recovery, the company's updated identity positions it as a custom home builder New Orleans clients can engage for projects at any stage of the construction lifecycle - from ground-up builds to targeted interior renovations. As a general contractor serving Greater New Orleans, Sweeney Build now operates under a name that accurately represents the scope of work it delivers.
Credentials and Licensing Supporting the Expanded Identity
Sweeney Build holds Louisiana contractor license numbers CL.62620 and RL.881928, authorizing the company to operate as a licensed general contractor in both residential and commercial sectors across Louisiana. These credentials validate the full scope of work that now falls under the Sweeney Build name.
On the exterior and roofing side, the company carries certifications from GAF and Owens Corning, two major manufacturers whose credentialing programs require contractors to meet defined installation and training standards. These credentials provide homeowners and commercial clients with verifiable benchmarks when evaluating contractors for complex projects that include roofing components alongside broader renovation or construction scopes.
