Guests nationwide helped the Guatemalan-born brand turn everyday meals into support for long-term earthquake recovery
DALLAS, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Pollo Campero, the Guatemalan-born fast-casual restaurant, is donating $25,000 to Direct Relief following its national fundraising day on Tuesday, Aug. 25, to support ongoing earthquake response and recovery efforts in Venezuela and Colombia.

"Our guests showed up for Venezuelan and Colombian families in a big way on Aug. 25, and we thank them for helping us contribute $25,000 to Direct Relief's recovery efforts," said Karla Patino, Pollo Campero vice president of marketing and sales. "Rebuilding after these earthquakes will take time in both countries, and this donation reflects our commitment to supporting these communities for the long haul."
Pollo Campero's deep connection to the U.S. Hispanic community drives its commitment to supporting Latin American communities in times of crisis. The June 24 earthquakes in Venezuela damaged hospitals and disrupted health services, and the Aug. 10 earthquake in Colombia created urgent needs of its own, leaving families in both countries facing long recovery efforts.
