NEWPORT NEWS, Va., Aug. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- BayPort Credit Union is expanding its presence in Virginia Beach with the opening of its sixth branch, bringing BayPort to the Oceanfront for the first time. The credit union celebrated the opening of its new Pacific Avenue location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted in partnership with the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce. Virginia Beach City Councilmember Worth Remick, District 6, joined BayPort leadership, community partners and members to mark the occasion.

Located at 3012 Pacific Avenue, the new branch offers a full range of financial services, including everyday banking, lending, business banking and investment services.

BayPort's expansion into new markets was made possible by its recent transition to a federal charter, opening the door for the credit union to serve more individuals, families, businesses and community organizations beyond its traditional footprint. But BayPort's commitment to Virginia Beach has gone back more than a decade, with its first branch in the city opening in 2012. Today, BayPort serves more than 18,000 members in Virginia Beach.

The Pacific Avenue location gives members another convenient place to bank in the city, joining BayPort branches on Little Neck Road, Providence Road, Holland Road, Independence Boulevard, and Lynnhaven Parkway.
